Autumn highs and lows
Hey beautiful humans,
How’s Autumn going for you so far? Are you slowing down and starting to chill or are you getting out there and chasing the daylight enjoying playing in the leaves ?
Now the clocks have gone back it’s feeling like that time of year when you get cosy in the evenings with a good book or a movie, or catch up with friends and family you haven’t seen for a while.
I love Autumn, but find the transition from summer a bit challenging with less daylight and cooler air I miss the summer until I remember how lush those crisp air runs can be, and how beautiful the trees and leaves are. Getting out in fresh air is a great way to lift your mood, as is connecting with people you love and brining sunshine in to their day – there are so many ways you can make someone smile and feel special it’s worth making the effort and sharing the love.
If you feel as if you need a little time out to mediate and get in to your groove, yoga and meditation can lift your mood, help with stress and anxiety so that we can be in the best place to help others. Join me for a 4 week yogic breathing and mediation for stress and anxiety starting on the 7th November with a different focus each week. To book go to the events page.
Think about what you can do for others, when we constantly remain stuck in ‘me and mine’, it makes room for stress and anxiety. We keep worrying about what will happen to us. Instead, trying moving your attention to how you can be of some use to others around you. Energising yourself with some things that can give you deep satisfaction and immense joy.
What could you do for someone else? Here’s a few ideas..
Call or write to someone you haven’t had contact with for a while
Buy someone flowers
Shout your buddy to a coffee or lunch
Make someone their favourite meal
Do the cleaning or ironing
Take your buddy to your yoga class ;)
I would love to hear any suggestions or thoughts on this, however unusual.
With so much love and Namaste Vic x
