Surf and yoga

SALTBURN-BY-THE-SEA

If your a Yogi that has always wanted to have a taste of surfing or a Surfer who wants to try yoga, this is a perfect opportunity to combine the two. If you have never done either this could be just the perfect opportunity! A surf and yoga night on Thursdays. 5.30-6.30pm yoga with @treelivingyoga and 7-8pm intro surf session with us. You can come to one week or all of them it's entirely upto you.


The Yoga session will be Vinyasa flow, a sequence of postures, flowing from one to another. Everyone is welcome, all levels.

The Surfing will be a short introduction into surfing. We will spend 20 minutes on the beach going through safety and basics principles. You will then spend 40minutes in the sea under the guidance of our coaches.

What to bring

You must bring with you a swimsuit, towel and your own yoga mat.

Warm clothing incase the air temp is cool.


Physical requirements

The surfing element requires you to be able to swim 50m in a swimming pool. You should never be out of your depth during these sessions however it will allow you to feel more confidence in the water.


For the yoga it is important that you have the ability to go from standing to lying down without any major issues and then back to standing. If you suffer from any ailments which will limit this movement please see https://www.treelivingyoga.com for more appropriate classes

Itinerary

You will need to arrive at 5.15 to sign in.

Yoga will take place 5.30-6.30pm, we will the size you up for wetsuits and boots, for surfing 7-8pm.
