Code of Conduct

At the point of the sign-up students will be asked to sign a Code of Conduct to commence training. To maintain high standards and keep a continued good reputation, it is important that all students reach a certain minimum standard. It is imperative this Code of Conduct is upheld on a continuous basis.

This Code of Conduct is a declaration of acceptable, ethical and professional behaviour. Listed below are ethical goals that students must uphold to continue with the training.

1. To ensure that safe and effective teaching is available to the public.
2. To provide the public with access to safe and effective yoga teachers.
3. Acknowledge the limitations of my skills and scope of practice and where appropriate, refer students to seek alternative instruction, advice, treatment, or direction.
4. Teach offering equal opportunities for all without judgement.
5. Use non-harmful language when communicating with your peers, students and trainer.
6. Make differences into strengths, we can find strength in diversity. Different people have different perspectives on issues, and that can be valuable for solving problems or generating new ideas. Being unable to understand why someone holds a viewpoint doesn’t mean that they’re wrong. Don’t forget that we all make mistakes, and blaming each other doesn’t get us anywhere.Instead, focus on resolving issues and learning from mistakes.
7. Adhere to the traditional yoga principles as written in the yamas and niyamas.
8. Follow national laws that pertain to my yoga teaching and business.

Please confirm that you are happy to comply the requirements above and that by signing this you accept that failure to do so will disqualify you from completing your course.

As a student of your training course, I consent to my contact details (name, email and phone number) being passed onto our partners, Yoga Alliance Professionals, so they can contact me directly and invite me to register as a Trainee and Teacher. I understand that I have the option of opting out of this registration process.
